Stock Alvanache!!!

This is a horrible day for investors around the world. Due to the fear US economic will enter recession stage. Although it was holiday in US yesterday, DOW future was down to 650 points. Therefore it triggers all global markets today. As you can see all in red, you have not seen this since 911.

My stocks, fund and gold investment are under the water now. In all I don't make any extra money for past one years. Can I say I am luck? Ahh... Hard to make money!

Need to hold myself from putting money into markets.

Investment Notes

Oil price is hitting 99.62USD/barrel therefore Gold price jumps into $860/oz! So presumably all stock market will be slump today.

But why oil price will go up again?

Here is what I find from AP.
[Violence in Nigeria helped give crude the final push to $100. Bands of armed men invaded Port Harcourt, the center of Nigeria's oil industry Tuesday, attacking two police stations and raiding the lobby of a major hotel. Word that several Mexican oil export ports were closed due to rough weather added to the gains, as did a report that OPEC may not be able to meet its share of global oil demand by 2024.]

And this makes it worse.
[The White House on Wednesday said it would not release oil from the nation's strategic reserves to drive prices lower.]

Based on supply/demand theory in economics, oil prices are most likely going higher in 2008. China and India are the most consumers of crude. Beijing will do whatever it takes to keep China stable in order to held Olympic game in this summer. And no reason to think why India will stop her economic growth.

Gold price has been predicted to exceed $1000/oz for years. Green energy and alternatives, like solar power, will be considered by many companies in a long run.

First working day

First working in 2008. A little bit busy at the office and a huge argument with a colleague about miscommunication of work arrangement. As a matter of fact, not happen quite often in my workplace. Simply she is not willing to assume the job that even her boss doesn't appreciate much. After a long discussion, I give up depending on her coordination effort for new hire. The sense of control of my job is back to my hands now. Although have to spend some time to arrange a training, but it is worthy.

There is no snowy days in my city. However it is cold enough to let people put on heavy coat including wearing a mask. It is only about 10C in the streets. First the coldest weather since entering this winter. Hope it will become warmer soon.

Let me be cliche. Happy New Year, 2008.

"Happy New Year to you too. All the best for the coming new year. I wish you health, love, happiness and wealth" is from my best friend at the very moment when a clock hit 2008. Wish our friendship last forever.

It will be a great year ahead I believe.

Cornflower Sampler

Spending some of my vacation on this stitch. There will be more than one cornflowers when it comes to a finish. To be honest I have no idea of when I will be complete this project. Like today I spent about 6 hours but the progress just a little.

The size of the design is 18" X 12", 45cm X 30cm on 28-count linen.

I listen to BBC webradio while stitching. It gave me an interesting feeling. With technology help, you can feel like the local people in UK, in particular when it talks about local weather and traffic condition on M1. The world is flat in 21th century.

Look at what I've just got!

Not as I expect at all.

A friend called that day about repaying the money I loaned her almost one year ago. She has been in a financial problem for years. When she asked my help I immediately said yes without hesitation. Just like what my intuition told me in the first place, she can be trusted.

I respect such people who will be responsible for everything all the time. They have conscience and dignity in their soul. Some great qualities you admire and expect from people no matter how.

You know there are bad guys around the corner. You have to be very very careful. And you never know what kind of people you might run into. People cannot judged by their appearance.

Since we met in a shopping area, I decided to use some of this money to reward/love myself. After few hours searching, I bought few under wears and 2 pajamas from Spain(woman secret) and a pair of headset from Austria that I have been thinking for a while.

Shopping do make woman feel happy a lot! It is a magic.

Time to say good-bye to 2007

Time flies.

We are going to be close to the end of the 2007 and ready to say hi to the 2008. As usual I like to make some resolutions to kick off my new year even though I am not young anymore. However it is a habit that I have been keeping since I was young at school time.

• Love myself!
• As usual keep looking young and fit.
• Enjoy the moment of every single day.
• Devote my self more into my new hobby-cross stitching.
• Keep this blog as latest as possible.
• Make few new friends.

I will look back to check final results when it comes to next Christmas and see if I have achieved the goals. :)

This new blog will be in English even it is not my mother tongue but I like to keep practice it not only for my job but also for my pleasure. I really like to learn English. So let's keep it as it is. By the way, typing English is easier and faster!

And the purpose of this blog will be about trivia. It could be anything. All up to my mood at the moment. It can be very short with just few lines. Tell myself don't make it too serious. It is just a blog. Simply have fun! Happy New Year!
